Theodore (Teddy) R. Dailey Sr was born on October 22, 1940, to the late Willie G. Dailey Sr. and Mattie B. Williams-Dailey in Monroe County, Alabama. Teddy attended the Uriah County School System. Teddy accepted Christ and join the Harris Street A.O.H. Church of God. He Reverence Christ through one of his hobbies. Playing the guitar and singing. He was a member and lead singer of the Singing Swans which consisted of his uncle, brothers, and a cousin.
Teddy relocated to Boston, Mass and united in marriage to his
wife Joyce Smallwood-Dailey. Teddy continued his love for Christ and music as a member and lead vocalist of the Wings of Zions
and The Spiritual Encouragers until God called him home. He became a member of Born-Again Evangelist Outreach Ministries until the Lord called him home.
Teddy retired from Raytheon after 35 years of service as a maintenance supervisor. Teddy’s favorite hobbies were working
on his cars, talking on his C.B., watching westerns and most of all singing and playing the guitar.
Teddy’s favorite saying was “I Already Know That”.
Even in his darkest hour Teddy didn’t complain.
Teddy was predeceased in death by his parents, brothers, Willie G. Jr, Willie James, Johnny, and Donald Dailey. Sisters: Veran, Barbara Dailey and Elizabeth Knight. Son: Scottie M. Dailey.
Teddy is survived by a loving wife, Joyce Smallwood-Dailey of Boston, Mass., (5) sons: Calvin, Theodore Jr, Dwayne (Erica) Dailey of Atmore, Alabama, Brandon and Walter Dailey of Boston, Mass. (5) daughters: Sandra, Tangia, Cynthia Dailey of Atmore, Alabama, Angela and Trinity Dailey of Boston, Mass. (1) brother: Michael Dailey. (Towanna) of Biloxi, Mississippi. (3) sisters; Margaret Dailey, Celestine Dailey of Atmore, Alabama and Diane Fountain of Atlanta, GA. (1) uncle: Paul Dailey of Biloxi, Mississippi. (3) Sister in laws: Angela Smallwood, Dominique Smallwood and Loretta Carson of Boston, Mass. (1) brother-in-law; Anthony Smallwood. A goddaughter, Darlene Beaman, (10) grandchildren, and a host of nieces and nephews.
