Tyrone Courtney Howell-Butler was born in Boston, MA on October 22, 1980, to his proud parents, Deborah C. Butler and Francis Howell.
To his family, he is affectionately known as “TyTy” and to his friends, he is known as “Spunk”, which suited him perfectly because he had a lot of it and it showed.
Growing up Tyrone was intelligent, curious, energetic, and he loved sports, football being his favorite. He was a very independent person, always eager to learn and figure things out for himself. He would respectfully listen to the advice of his elders but wished to figure it out on his own. His mother, as well as his family, was always proud of him. He carried the same values and determination he learned as a young child into his life of manhood to the very end.
Tyrone was very family-oriented, would often be found playing or roughhousing with the little ones until they tired him out. he loved and cherished those moments, thus becoming a father was uplifting. You could always depend on him to be there when you needed him. Tyrone would continuously look out for and protect the females (family and friends) in his life.
He is a loving son, brother, father, nephew, uncle, cousin, and friend who will be missed greatly and leaves a void in everyone he touched. In knowing him and his big heart, you could do nothing but love him.
TyTy’s family always knew him to be a respectful, playful, and gentle giant, that you would never know how bossy and stern he could be with his sister and cousins.
Spunk was welcomed in many neighborhoods. Most people saw his strengths, loyalty, and love, which left nothing to question about his character, in turn, earned him respect from everyone who knew him.
Tyrone leaves behind to carry on his teachings, strength, and wisdom, to his
son; Devonair, sister Carolyn, nephew Khaleil, two stepdaughters; Kianna and Cazi, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, and numerous friends.
We love and cherish you Dad, TyTy, Spunk ALWAYS!
