Joseph Link was born on March 3, 1937, to the late Alvin and Mary Link. He grew up in Vance County, North Carolina where he attended Middle and High School with his siblings. Joseph was a school bus driver for The Boston Public Schools system until he retired. He had six children who he loved and adored dearly. Joseph loved playing cards and especially listening to the music on his favorite Sirius XM Station, Soul Town.
Everyone called him “Joe” and he loved spending time with his family, friends and especially his children. He loved to laugh, dance and to make others laugh. His favorite pastime was watching old black and white films and TV shows. One of his favorites was “Gunsmoke.” He also loved sports. Even though he watched football, basketball and professional boxing, Joe’s favorite was baseball. He loved himself some Red Sox! He was a quiet and lovable person; though if you crossed him, he became a living tornado, especially when defending his children. He was a loving father, grandfather, great-grandfather, uncle, cousin, brother and friend. He adored spending time with his nieces and their children, and he especially loved joking around with his nephews. He had an uncanny ability to find happiness in his daily activities and his pleasant personality was contagious to everyone he met.
