Diane Yvonne Lowe

August 24, 1947 — June 9, 2021

Diane Yvonne Lowe was born on August 24, 1947, in Augusta, GA to Dorothy Gillis-Lowe and the late David Lowe. From this union came four children, Diane being the eldest. She attended Ursula Collins School and Lucy Laney High School in Augusta, GA. She married James Bray, Sr. and from this union, James Bernard Bray was born. Diane relocated to Boston, MA in 1966 where she worked for Harvard Community Health and held a series of jobs, and later retired from Pilgrim Nuclear Power Plant. she joined Metropolitan Baptist Church and served as the President of the Usher Board. Diane was a loving mother, daughter, sister, auntie, and friend with a beautiful spirit who enjoyed cruising, traveling, dancing, and cooking. Christmas was a VERY special time of the year for her to bring the family together. She was preceded in death by her brother, Alex W. Lowe, and leaves behind to mourn her passing her mother: Dorothy (DJ) Lowe, son: James B. Bray (Aleshi Bray), granddaughter: Jayla Yvonne Bray, godson: Corey Blakes, sisters: Brenda J. Lowe -Williams (late Roy Williams), Evelyn Lowe-Scott (Jameel Scott), aunt: Ernestine Gibbs, ex-husband: Eaton Lynch, nephews: Kevin D. Lowe, and Alex Lowe, nieces: Tawianna Rezendes and Regina D. Lowe (her favorite); and a host of loving great-nieces, nephews, cousins, and close friends.
