Jimmy Lee Smith Sr

Jimmy Smith affectionately known as Lil jimmy and Pop Pop peacefully entered Heaven’s Gates on Friday, May 21st, 2021. Jimmy was born in Haynesville, Alabama on May 26th, 1956 to Leola Corbett (McCall) and the late Arthur Smith. Jimmy spent the majority of his life in Boston MA. Jimmy was a skilled and simple gentleman that prided himself on helping others. Jimmy was a graduate of Boston High School and went on to a career at NECCO Candy Factory in Revere as an Assembler. Soon after leaving NECCO, he provided carpentry services around the community. Jimmy was known for his bright smile and big heart. He enjoyed time with his family, listening to his oldies, and watching football. Jimmy is survived by his children Shawnte (Kanei), Jimmy Jr., and Jazmin. His grandson Jamai, His ex-wife Pamela, his girlfriend Jada, his mother Leola McCall-Corbett, his siblings, Gloria, Loretta, Rue, Robert, John, James and June (Gina) and a host of nieces and nephews.
