Juanita Marilyn Harding Carrington “Slim” was born April 16, 1943. She departed this life at the age of 77 on November 28, 2020. Juanita attended Girl's High and graduated from Jamaica Plain High School. She was born to the late Juanita and George Harding of Boston, Mass.
Juanita was a kind loving mother to her two children April and Jaymie, and her grandchildren Jaymie, Johnnie, and Jaleel.
Juanita was a very intelligent, caring, gentle, good-natured person. She enjoyed entertaining family and friends. Juanita enjoyed her cooking shows and loved to cook! Her favorite meal was steak and salad. One of the things she was well known for were her extraordinary salads. Juanita loved
music, playing cards and had fantastic moves on the dance floor!
Juanita worked as Head Dietician at University Hospital, Mass General Hospital and St. Helena's House in the South End. She also worked at several other businesses: ABCD and Cablevision. She devoted her time at the Boys & Girls Club performing arts and crafts as she enjoyed teaching children and helping others. She also was a great nanny to her daughters’ best friends’ children.
Juanita leaves behind to cherish her memories, her daughter April Carrington and her son James Carrington, her grandchildren Jaymie, Johnnie, and Jaleel. Her sisters Kimberly Moss, Loreia Glass, Annette Harding, and her brother's Grenald and the late Donald Harding all of Boston MA, as well as a host of other loving relatives and friends.
