Esther Philippi (Djoune) was born in Saint-Marc, Haiti in June 11,1983 to Marie Judith Jean and Frantz
Philippi “Fanfan” (deceased). As a toddler, she moved to Port-au-Prince with her mother. Esther Philippi
journeyed to the United States in August 2016 to join her mother and her three siblings (Nicolas, Jennifer, and
Georgia). Together they built a pathway which would change the life of their entire family. Their first home together on Fayston Street in Dorchester was the
welcoming address for many of their siblings and cousins making the U.S their new home.
Esther first job was at Wegmans and her second job was Boston Market. She worked there for two years
to support herself, her cousins, friends, aunties and I uncles in Haiti. She was always on the go, buying
merchandise to resell. She was an entrepreneur. She had T an online store to support herself and family that is back
home. In the two-year period in the United States, she got her GED, received a Home Health certificate and
enrolled in nursing school.
Esther Philippi will forever be cherished in the life and memories of her mother Marie Judith Jean and her 9 brothers and sisters, Stephane Philippi, Olaf Nicolas
Philippi, Georgia Jean, Carmelle (Jennifer) Jean, Anite Philippi, Byline Philippi, Jennifer Philippi, Carl Philippi,
Jonathan Philippi. She also leaves her cousins, nieces, and nephews, Christopher Brutus, Dorineda Brutus, Rose-Christie Brutus, Jean Dario Camelus, Daniella Menelas, Jason Jean and Migchelle C. Philippi.
