Sandra Wilhelmina Hubbard

June 2, 1938 — October 27, 2020

Sandra Wilhelmina was born in Boston, Massachusetts on June 2, 1938 to the late Stanton W. Remy and the late Lucy V. (Remy) High. She was the third of four children born to Stanton and Lucy. Sandra was raised in the Historic Charles St AME Church. She attended Boston Public Schools and graduated from Roxbury Memorial High School.” Soon after Sandra met and married John E. Hubbard Sr. and gave birth to five children and adopted one. Even though Sandra was married and had children she still moved forward in going to college. She attended ABCD Community College, finishing at Bunker Hill Community College in 1982 she earned a master’s degree in Human Services and it did not stop there she continued her academic pursuit. Sandra returned to ABCD College where she received a degree in Business Management, she also attended Roxbury Community College where she received a degree in Early Childhood Education. Sandra’s education helped her get jobs within her community helping families; She worked as a Program Coordinator/Secretary/Family Worker at ABCD Head start in Orchard Park Housing Development and Jamaica Plain Head start. She also worked as a Principle Clerk and Administrative Assistant at the Grove Hall Welfare Department. Sandra’s W. Hubbard’s accomplishment and contributions within the community will have a lasting impact for generations to come. Sandra Wilhelmina Hubbard was named The Matriarch of the Murray Family on August 18, 2018 by Mayor Martin J Walsh for all her hard work and dedication. Sandra W. Hubbard is survived by her four children; Sons John E Hubbard Jr. and Troy Hubbard, Daughters: Sandra W Hubbard II and Teresa Hubbard (Lance Lanford). Proceeding her in death her oldest daughter Alita Hubbard and adopted daughter Vanessa Combs. Sandra also leaves her brother Rev. Herman R. High and her sister Rene Manigault (Lawrence) proceeding her in death her sister Victoria E Wilkins, Lucy V. Remy and her brother Clarence W. Remy (Lena). Sandra leaves 18 grandchildren Jahvon E. Bruton, Rikinia L. Bruton, Malita Hubbard, Cory Hubbard, Jeanee Bufford (Eugene), Sharon Hubbard, James Hubbard, Deja Vaughn( Stephen) Marshall Hubbard, Andre Hubbard, Laniece Langford, Tyson Woods, Terance Woods, Latarshia Rivers, Camille Rivers Hubbard, Sarah Rivers Hubbard, Mia Combs, Antione Combs and proceeding her in death her grandson Troy Woods. She leaves 40 great grandchildren and 8 great great grandchildren. Sandra also leaves a host of aunt’s uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, relatives, extended family and friends. Proceeding Sandra W. Hubbard is her longtime companion Ancee B. Marchando (Yancee) . Sandra W. Hubbard will truly be missed but never forgotten for all her love and kindness she brought to the lives of the people she touched.
