Obituary of Austin Ray Wilkerson

"To know BooBoo was to Love Him." Austin Ray Wilkerson, affectionately known as “BooBoo”, was born on June 26, 1976, in Boston Massachusetts to Robin Wilkerson and Austin "Allston" Johnson. As a child, BooBoo was full of energy. With all that energy bottled inside it brought some challenges to his life but despite those many challenges he rose above it all and flourished. He got his GED and started working for numerous organizations in and around Boston, such as the Metco program and ABCD to name a few. Along with helping his Pop’s, Raymond Offley with his moving company. Raymond who loved, supported, and mentored BooBoo throughout his whole life taught him how to become a entrepreneur. Soon after, BooBoo became owner and operated of his own company called AAA Movers, which was an acronym for the names of his youngest children and his fiancée - the "A-TEAM" is how they referred to themselves. BooBoo had a beautiful, bright, and infectious laugh. He had such a big presence that when he entered a room; all you would see is his big, beautiful smile. It made you just want to hug him up. BooBoo truly had quite a attractive personality; one to be remembered. Not just was his presence revered but his deeds spoke volumes. BooBoo cared very much about people's well being. At any given moment, he was known to help those he loved, as well as strangers. He found a fondness for the elderly in which he was able to bless them with his handy skills and extremely helpful nature. He was a gentle giant. BooBoo passed away unexpectedly on July 4, 2020 at the age of 44, in Boston, Massachusetts. BooBoo Bear, who will be greatly missed BUT loved and remembered forever. BooBoo loved his children and spoke of them all the time! He was a supportive and devoted father to his children Kourtney Johnson, Tatiana Wilkerson, Madilyn Wilkerson, Amai and Azhari Jordan-Wilkerson. BooBoo was ready to start a new chapter with the love of his life, Anisha Jordan. To whom he referred to as his "Wife" to many. BooBoo was also a caring brother to Tyra Wilkerson, predeceased, Charles Wilkerson, and Kim Wilkerson- Washington. And let's not forget his friend/brother Rondell Offley, predeceased. He was also loving uncle to Taira Harrison, Charles Jr., Christian, Zahkya (Dottin), and Colin Wilkerson. Kym and Jaeda Wilkerson, Jhasai and Jhanai Washington. Grandson: Leonardo Joseph Bethea. Boo leaves to cherish in his memory a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, and friends. THE OAK TREE by Johnny Ray Ryder Jr. A mighty wind blew night and day. It stole the Oak Tree's leaves away. Then snapped its boughs and pulled its bark until the Oak was tired and stark. But still the Oak Tree held its ground while other trees fell all around. The weary wind gave up and spoke, "How can you still be standing Oak?" The Oak Tree said, I know that you can break each branch of mine in two, carry every leaf away, shake my limbs and make me sway. But I have roots stretched in the earth, growing stronger since my birth. You'll never touch them, for you see they are the deepest part of me. Until today, I wasn't sure of just how much I could endure. But now I've found with thanks to you, I'm stronger than I ever knew.
