A Summary Of Life
Lloyd George Williamson, Sr., son of the late Mr. Walter and Ivy Williamson was born in Kingston, Jamaica on July 19, 1951.
In 1969, Lloyd took residence in Boston, MA to be closer with his parents. He was employed at Atlantic Battery Co. in Watertown, MA for about a year. Lloyd went to Mechanical Engineering School in Cambridge, MA to get his degree in Auto Mechanics. Upon receiving his degree he was hired in 1971 at Peter Fuller Cadillac and worked for two years. Always trying to achieve better, in 1973 he was employed at McNealy Oldsmobile in Chestnut Hill for 16 years.
In 1972, he married the love of his life, then Olive Gregory. They were blessed with four children, Beverly, Lloyd, Jr., Elaine, and Shawn Williamson.
In 1987, Lloyd relocated to Miami, Florida where he lived for 13 years. He worked for Opa-Locka Properties and Unity Pharmacy as maintenance manager where he worked for several years. However in 2000 he moved back to Boston with his girls and new grandson - Joshua.
Lloyd's home was a welcoming Haven for many. His achievements in life were numerous but he will be remembered as a man who loved to cook, loved to entertain and loved to have people around. He enjoyed working on cars, traveling and being with his grandchildren. Lloyd was a devoted father to his children whom loved him dearly.
On Thursday, May 25, 2017, Lloyd George Williamson, Sr. of 23 Pleasant Hill Avenue, Mattapan, MA was called home by the Lord. “Thy good and faithful servant well done, Come Home And Take Your Rest"
Left to celebrate his life, legacy and wonderful memories are his beloved wife Olive; devoted children, Beverly (Fiancé, Yon Perrin), Lloyd, Jr., Elaine Williamson and Shawn, (Glernice); brothers and sisters, the late William (Segree), Mervin, Trevor (Phyllis), Bertram, Sr. (Althea), Mazie (Elidio) and Molly Williamson; 2 sisters-in-law, Hazel (Neville) Messam and Gloria Lewis; 6 loving grandchildren; a host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins (too numerous to name) and many, many friends.
