James C. Bembury

James Clifton Bembury, 54, of Boston, Massachusetts, passed peacefully Thursday October 11th,2018

 at Mass General Hospital surrounded by his family.

James was born October 3rd, 1964 in Ahoskie, North Carolina, to Betty Bembury and the late Johnnie Bembury.

 He was a graduate of Hyde Park High School and was known for his good looks and staying fresh and stylish.

He dedicated many years working as a Heavy Equipment Operator with James G. Grant Company.

 James enjoyed playing basketball and loved using the nickname “Fat Head” on the family especially the girls.

On his downtime you would find him hanging out with family, friends, buying outfits he liked or

using the weekend to relax, eat and watch basketball, football or just a good movie.

James is survived by his mother Betty Bembury, sister Jennifer Bembury, brothers Jackie Leary of Georgia,

and Thomas Leary all of Boston, MA. His 2 daughters Tiffany and Ashley Williams of Boston,

His uncles, James, Ray, George Leary of Boston,  Donnel Leary of North Carolina and Benjamin Leary, Jr. of Virginia.

His aunts Margaret Chamblee of North Carolina and Rosa Sutton of Boston, MA.

His supportive niece his “go to” La’Tisha Salley and a host of nieces, nephews, and great nieces.
