Thomas Jefferson Bighams

August 6, 1942 — May 19, 2017

Thomas Jefferson Bighams was born August 6, 1942 in Boston, Massachusetts to the late John W. Bighamsawaugee and Elrena R. Watkins of Boston.  He attended English High School and went on to graduate from several colleges; MIT, Northeastern University and Boston University majoring in computer sciences.

Tommy, as he was fondly known, served in the United States Army and was stationed in Okinawa during the Vietnam War.

Tommy worked for a number of firms as a computer consultant trouble shooter. 

He was a member of the Metropolitan Opera Guild and he enjoyed listening to classical music.  He also loved to walk everywhere.  He enjoyed vacationing on Martha’s Vineyard.  He also enjoyed going to sports events such as the Boston Celtics games.

On Sundays, Tommy enjoyed attending both the Hartford Presbyterian Church of Natick and the Needham Presbyterian Church.

Tommy departed this life on Friday, May 19, 2017 at the Beth Israel Hospital.  He is survived by one sister, Elrena, and two brothers, Henry and Phillip of Boston along with several cousins and a host of friends
