Sheila Lorraine Dear

January 1, 1940 — August 25, 2021

Sheila Lorraine Dear, was born in Bank Hall Barbados to Winfield Butcher and Muriel Dear. Sheila was the last of four children, Ernesta and Jean Dear (both deceased) and Lacey (Joyce) Dear of Walpole, MA. She also had four other siblings Ruan Butcher (deceased), Junette & Winston Butcher of Barbados and Anelda Butcher of West Palm Beach, FL. Sheila attended Grace Hill Primary School. She then worked at Paradise Beach Club for many years until she immigrated to the United States on November 21, 1970. Upon arrival here she worked as a nanny for various families. She then went on to work at the Massachusetts General Hospital, until her retirement in 2005. Sheila was a woman of faith and attended Beulah Pilgrim Holiness Church. She served as an usher for many years until her retirement from the Ushers’ Ministry in 2016. She was a quiet gentle woman, but don’t ever get on her wrong side. She always had a pleasant personality and many endearing qualities. Sheila is survived by her daughter Jessica, son-in-law Dennis Keith, grandchildren Stanley (Jen), Brian (Joanne), Justin (Parvena), Ashleigh (Joshua). Great-grands Jaiden, August and Calii. Aunt of Cornel Louis, Orson, Cheryl and Gregory Dear, Carolyn Kinch and many great nieces and nephews. She was also the cousin of Hazel Sandiford and many more of Canada, Linda and Betty Dear of Barbados. Friend of Pauline Briggs and Colvin and Monica Bishop. Aunt Sheila as she was affectionally known by great nieces and nephews will be sorely missed by everyone. May she rest in perfect peace.
