Santos Boscana

June 8, 1932 — August 17, 2024

Santos Modesto Boscana of Brooklyn, NY, passed away at age 92 on August 17th, 2024; with his loving and devoted daughter and granddaughter by his side. Santos transitioned from this world at his home in Lawrence, Ma where he resided with his daughter Madeline Boscana and her husband Israel Cruz.

Santos was born on June 8th, 1932 in Ponce, Puerto Rico to parents Salvadora Natal and Jose Aguedo Boscana. He was a loving brother to Judy, Jose, Cesar, and Luis Boscana whom he continued to have a relationship with well into his adult life. He would often visit with his sister and brother in their homes in NY where they would meet to drink coffee, rum and cokes, and exchange stories.

Santos married his first wife Catalina Rivera Vasquez of Jayuya, PR; they raised six children together: Roberto, Migdalia, Santos, Maritza, Martin, and Madeline Boscana. Catalina and Santos made their way around Puerto Rico, New York, and Boston during their time together while raising their children.

Later Santos married his second wife Patricia Mendez Roman and made Brooklyn, NY their home where they raised Patricia's grandson, Luis Roman. Santos was a loving and devoted husband who cared for his wife Patricia until her passing.

Santos had a humble career working in packaging factories and was a carpenter by trade. He enjoyed watching baseball and playing dominos. He loved playing dominoes with his neighbors in front of his NY apartment and in his elder years enjoyed playing with his great-granddaughter. Santos was fond of spanish western movies, sitting outside conversing with family and listening to music. When the music spoke to his soul he would take pleasure in dancing. Santos was quick to make a joke and loved playing pranks on those around him. He had a smile that would bring joy to any one who saw it.

Santos is predeceased by his parents Salvadora Natal and Jose Boscana; His siblings Cesar and Luis Boscana; his Wives Catalina Rivera and Patricia Roman; and his Children Maritza Mazzarella and Roberto Boscana.

Santos is survived by his sibilings Judy and Jose Boscana;

His children Migdalia, Santos, Martin, and Madeline Boscana;

His grandchildren Cheyvonne, Betzabet, Natasha, Erick, Saviel, Janelle, Jiovanna, Jennifer, Juan, Jessica, Tabitha, Martin Jr, Freddy and Zuleyka;

and his Many great-grandchildren some of whom he had a bonded relationship with including Eridana, Ermias, Jayden, Armani, Natalya, Nyah, and Nahla.

Funeral arrangements will be held at Floyd Funeral Home.
