Paul Thomas was born on July 13, 1942, to Frederick J. Thomas and Lillian Jones (deceased) in Manhattan, New York. His life was marked by unwavering determination, love for his family and companion Honore Bowman, and a deep commitment to serving his country.
Paul Thomas enlisted in the Army and bravely served his nation for 20 years. He completed 2 tours in the Vietnam War and was awarded the Purple Heart and Bronze Star. His strong will and courage were evident on the battlefield, where he fought alongside his comrades with honor and dedication. His service was a testament to his selflessness and his unwavering love for his country.
Upon returning home from his military service, Paul Thomas continued to exemplify strength and resilience in all aspects of his life. He forged a successful career with the U.S. Postal Service.
Paul Thomas' interests were as varied as his experiences. He was passionate about fishing, reading, and watching sports. He found solace and joy in volunteering at the Veterans Center. He often shared stories of his military service, offering valuable life lessons and imparting wisdom to those who knew him.
In his community, Paul Thomas was known for his generosity, kindness, and willingness to lend a helping hand. He leaves behind a legacy of compassion, integrity, and patriotism that will continue to inspire all who had the privilege of knowing him.
Paul Thomas is survived by his beloved children, Paul Thomas Jr., Darrell K. Thomas, Robin L. M. Thomas, Roxanne M. Holiday, and Cicly Thomas (deceased). He is also survived by his siblings, Linda M. Thomas, Fredericka Thomas, Phillip J. Thomas (deceased), Leslie Thomas Kennard (deceased), and beloved grandchildren Kyndra Harris, Kiana Robinson, Jaylon Barnett, and great-grandchildren Je'Nae Moore and Josiah Robinson.
