Norris Bembury

March 26, 1958 — October 10, 2024

Early Thursday morning, October 10, 2024, Norris L. Bembury transitioned from this life into eternity at Morton Hospital in Tauton, Massachusetts. Norris was born on March 26, 1958 in Ahoskie, North Carolina to Mamie Smith (Irby) and Thurman Lee Bembury. Mamie later married Reuben Irby and together, the blended family raised their beloved son Norris, with love, compassion, and guidance.

Norris was affectionally called 'Nob' by his family, a nickname given to him by his mother when he was just a baby. Norris attended elementary school at the John W. McCormack School, and graduated with his high school diploma from South Boston High School.

Norris had an infectious smile that would brighten up anyone's day, a kind and pure heart and a laid back posture. Norris enjoyed spending time family and friends, DIY projects, fishing, and yard sales.

Norris was preceded in his passing by his grandparents, the late Gladys and Thomas Bembury the late Estelle and James C. Smith; his parents, his father; the late Thurman Bembury and (bonus dad) the late Reuben Irby. He leaves to cherish his memory; his parent, his beloved mother: Mamie Irby; his children; Aaron Bembury and Danielle Bembury of Baltimore Maryland, D'Aundra Bell (Ryan), Danene Branch and Micheal Branch (Vilma) all of Boston, Massachusetts; his brothers Lance Bembury and Tarence Irby (Teresa); his sister, June Butler (Terrance), all of Boston, Massachusetts; and a host of Grandchildren, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, Nieces, Nephews and extended family and friends.

All of whom will miss him deeply and love him forever.
