Marion Freeman, the first born to Adeline Barboza McFarlan was born in 1951 in Boston, MA. Marion attended Boston Public Schools in the 70’s before the birth of her son in 1972. Marion worked decades at the Nesco candy factory making her known in the family for being the one to sneak the kids sweets. Windowed in 2000 Marion never lost her zest for life.
A long time resident of the city of Cambridge where she resided with her partner Pierre Barosy. Marion was an active participant in local election activities, tenants rights organizations and a school foster grandparent.
To say she was dedicated to others would be an understatement.
She was superseded in death by her mother Adeline McFarlan, Step Father Alvin McFarlan, brothers Chester and Charles Barboza, sister Ramona McFarlan and husband William Freeman.
She is survived by her son Joseph Barboza, three grandchildren Christin Barboza-Graham, Tristin Barboza-Graham and Jessica Graham. Sisters Audrey Albany, Carol Barboza, brothers Henry Barboza, Alvin McFarlan, Philip Barboza and Sean McFarlan along with a host of nieces and nephews.
