In Loving Memory of my brother, Eric Raymond Grant

 Eric Raymond Grant, born September 19, 1988, in Boston, MA, came into this world as a bright spark and never stopped shining. He was the firstborn to Innell “Delfina” Grant and Eric Tyrone Maiden and the beloved stepson of Avery Ortiz Poole Sr. As the eldest of his siblings—Daniel Grant, Avery Grant Poole Jr., D’Andre Grant Poole, Antwan Grant Poole, Destiny Grant Poole, Armand Powell, and Avante Powell Poole—Eric was their protector, their guide, and the glue that held everyone together. He carried his role as the big brother with pride and always had their backs, no matter what.

Eric was known for his big heart and even bigger personality. If you were around him, he made sure you felt like you belonged. Whether it was through his jokes, his stories, or getting you out on the dance floor, Eric had a way of making life feel like a celebration. Dancing wasn’t just something he did—it was how he showed his joy and brought people together. His creativity and boldness lit up every room he walked into, and his love for his family and friends was unmatched.

Life wasn’t always easy for Eric, and he carried his share of pain. But even when things got heavy, he wore a brave face and focused on making sure the people around him felt loved and accepted.
