Danielle Marie Green

February 14, 1988 — May 28, 2022

Danielle “Dani” Marie Green 2/14/88 - 5/28/22 Boston, MA Danielle Marie defied our sense of gravity. To be in her presence was to be grounded and somehow weightless all at once. Buoyancy in the gift of her laughter. In one embrace she would bring your feet firmly to ground. Yet you found yourself floating. Swirling so. But magically she could stop time. To be in her company we hoped for forever. To have seen entire buildings and rooms disappear behind her smile. When she sang walls would fall and ceilings became sky. Strangers became friends in dance. Life could become full in any place we once saw as vacant. To witness her with Bryson was to truly understand levitation. Their spirits, with every kiss, soared above. His giggles would bubble and rise above like wishes in the sky. A mother who planted firmly his destiny and guided him to forever fly. In her absence gravity becomes myth. An emptiness somehow heavy A hole that feels round and full like a stone. Gravity. Rules. Physics do not apply to angels. Dani Marie was meant to soar. Dani Marie is our angel, our love, forever more. – Poem by Leah Autum Wilson Danielle Marie Green passed away unexpectedly in Boston on Saturday, May 28th, 2022 at the age of 34. She is deeply mourned and missed by the love and light of her life, her beloved son Bryson, her mother Angela, sister Shamika, brothers Christian and Damien, and an eclectic and extended chosen family whose lives she touched with her light, love, vibrancy, and song. Born and raised in Boston, Danielle attended Boston Arts Academy where she received robust classical music training. Coupled with years spent at her mother’s feet listening to the likes of Aretha Franklin, Bob Marley, and Elton John, she had already built a strong musical foundation by the time she moved to New York City to pursue her music career at 19. She would go on to travel the world, touring with Grammy award-winning musical acts and performing in a wide variety of venues; from intimate stages in the English countryside to music festivals in Italy and sold-out stadiums across Australia. She wrote and recorded two studio EPs, and was continuously perfecting her craft and pouring herself into her musical journey. Danielle was a devoted mother, dependable colleague, dedicated collaborator, and the most loving friend. Fiercely loyal, the kindest of souls, a home for everyone – she was a warm smile and a shoulder to lean on for so many. She loved her friends, family, music, and fans deeply. She lived to make people laugh with a bold sense of humor that was unmistakable. She owned her power and her gifts with the responsibility of one who understands how much they matter. In her son, she planted the seeds of her love so that he may grow to walk through his own life with his head and heart held high. Steadfast in her convictions, she was a woman of God, and a child of Soul, singing with a passion and presence that was far beyond her years. Though her physical time on this earth was cut short, her lasting impact and legacy will be felt for generations to come. Rest in your fullest glory and power, Dani Marie. —- Memorial Services will be held on Friday, June 10th at The Waymark SDA Church of Boston (10am Viewing, 11am Service).
