Clarence W. Remy Sr. 83, affectionately known as “Pops” passed away on Friday, November 2nd, 2018, after fighting a long illness. He was born to parents Stanton Remy and Virginia High in Boston. Clarence attended and graduated from Boston Public Schools. Clarence had a personality that left a lasting impression on everyone he met, and he had a loving giving nature; always going out of his way to put a smile on your face.
Clarence and Lena were married for 63 years from this union produced three children, daughters Sheryll Remy-Francis and Lisa Remy-Kelley, and late son Clarence Remy Jr. He was a hardworking man, who worked for the same company for 47 years. He had a gift for building many things. He also had a great interest in collecting many items.
Clarence was very passionate about music, technology and politics. He was a wonderful conversationalist and loved talking to people about many different subjects. He lived his life as the “World According to Pops”. He will be truly missed.
Clarence is survived by his beloved wife Lena M. Remy; daughters Sheryll Remy-Francis and Lisa Remy-Kelley; Son in laws Stephen Francis and Etzer Augustin. His loving grandchildren Rayford Kelley, Jr. and his wife Kara, Mark Francis and Omar Augustin. Great grandchildren Maximus Francis, Sophia Kelley. Brother, Herman High; sisters Sandra Hubbard, Lucy Remy, René Manigault and her husband Lawrence and the late Victoria Wilkins. He also leaves a host of nieces, nephews and other loving relatives and friends.
