Antonio Barros Gomes

Antonio Barros Gomes, affectionately known as Toti, was born on June 13, 1946 in Fogo, Cape Verde to Manuel “Eduino” Gomes and Luisa DeBarros Gomes. 

 Toti was an incredibly kind and patient person; though quiet, he loved a good joke and was very funny. He had an infectious smile and calming energy that made him well liked by everyone he met. 

 Toti was an amazing artist. He spent a lot of time drawing and painting and he loved to share his art with his family and friends. 

 Toti loved his family very much. He is survived by his 4 brothers: Alexandre, Americo, Alino and Agustinho; 6 nieces; 2 nephews and a host of family and friends in the United States, Cape Verde and Portugal. We will all miss his warm smile and friendly demeanor.
