We miss you today, We will miss you tomorrow. Tears in our eyes, and a heart full of sorrow. We hold on to the memories of the great times we had, we grieve for what we lost, but we are grateful for what we had.
Ann Marie Gordon, affectionately called "Angie" 63, transitioned to her heavenly home on Monday, July 17, 2023 in Boston, MA. Ann Marie was born on May 16, 1960 in Spanish Town, Jamaica to Jeremiah Gordon and Elfreda Francis. She was the 3rd of 6 children.
Ann Marie grew up in Spanish Town, Jamaica, where she worked as a Higgler and also raised her 3 children and one adopted child. In 2015 she along with her 2 younger kids migrated to the US to join her oldest child who was already living in the States. She worked as a Nurse Assistant caring for the elderly in New Jersey, New York and Massachusetts and also as an Assistant Teacher at Spring of Water Christian Learning Center.
Sister Ann Marie became a servant of God in 2016 and a devoted member of the Mission Church of Christ in Somerville and the Spring of Water Christian Assembly in Randolph. She enjoyed worshipping, praying, singing the gospels and religiously attending Sunday services.
Ann Marie was a nurturing, loving and compassionate woman with the most beautiful smile that will light up everyone soul around her. She was a person you could go to for advice and whenever you were in need and knew just what to do or say in the moment. Her love had no boundaries and transformed the lives of all those who had the opportunity to experience it.
Ann Marie was a great cook. She made the best Jamaican home cooked meals as if she was a big time chef in any top class restaurant. Brown stew chicken, fried fish, Brown stew Oxtail with beans, gungo peas and rice were some of her specialty dishes. She found pleasure in feeding her kids and her kid's friends.
Angie spent a lot of time on the phone with her family and friends both here and in Jamaica. She loved catching up on the good ole times. "Whats up Girl, weh yaw seh", were some of her favorite phrases. She loved shopping for clothes, and would spend countless hours in stores and online looking for the finest items.
Ann Marie loved her family and most of all she loved and adored her children and granddaughter. When she spoke of them to people, you could see pure radiant, joy flowing from her. They were her world and she wanted nothing more than the best for them in life.
We have loss the Driving Force in our lives and there are no words to express the deep sorrow and loss we feel. All the great unforgettable moments that we shared will live in our hearts forever.
In the end, "God has given her peace and rest, as John said "Beloved we are God's children now and what we will be has not yet been made known, but we know that when Christ appears, for we shall be like him, for we shall see him as he is" (1st John 3 v 2)
Ann Marie left to cherish her love and memories by, her children, Lysimbah, Dezzann and Antonio, her adopted son Jevon and granddaughter Damaihlia, Sisters, Beverly, Corrine and Veronica, nieces, nephews, other relatives, Church family and friends in the USA and Jamaica.
