Celestine Cox was born on July 06, 1957 in Boston,
Massachusetts. Celestine was the fourth child born to the
late Orange and Lessie Mae Cox.
Celestine attended Aaron Davis Elementary School and the
Pollock School. While growing up Celestine enjoyed spending time with
her family, watching television, dancing, painting murals,
theatrical arts, and traveling.
Celestine was an active member of the community who enjoyed
performing annually in the play Black Nativity and volunteering for various
organization; such as The Boston Marathon,
Rosie’s Place, and The Red Cross,
After a brief battle with cancer, Celestine succumbed on September
21, 2018.She leaves to mourn her son Tyrone H. Cox,
two granddaughters Anna and Khaliah, her sisters Kathleen Cox, Sheila &
Shirley Cox (better known as the Twinnie Bennies), the late Orange
Cox, Jr, and Annie M. Ewing (Dale). She also leaves to mourn her,
her siblings Debra Bullock, Jeff M. Jones and Albert A. Jones.
Also, we acknowledge her Aunt Polly DeLoatch, cousins Eugene &
Charlie DeLoatch, nephews and nieces Roshon O. Cox, Khelia Cox,
India Cox, Nicholas Cox, Asia Cox, Jaycee Bullock, and a host of
great nieces, nephews, relatives and friends (Francine).
