Billy, the last of a dying breed, passed away peacefully at his home on December 24th. Born to the late Joseph and Rosie Lee Whitlow on August 29, 1929. He was a man of many words and strong pride. He used his wit to make people laugh and feel comfortable.
Billy moved to Massachusetts with his late wife Mary Ethel Whitlow. Together they raised six children.
A humorous man filled with hospitality. Billy loved to entertain. His favorite food was chicken and his favorite drink was gin. Billy loved the outdoors. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with loved ones. In his past time, he enjoyed watching “Black and Whites,” Maury Povich and Family Fued. Billy loved to gamble and play cards. It didn’t matter with who, as long as you had some money.
He passed away at home, in the comfort of his bed, surrounded by family. He was a giving man, who would give his last. Bill loved people and people loved Bill.
He is survived by his children Linda Ann (Greg) Lewis, Billie Jean Whitlow, Otis Grant and a host of grandkids, great grands and great-great grands.
Billy will be truly missed!
